The issues have apparently been occurring for weeks. <\/p>\n<p>The glitch (?) was reported on by The Verge, who also reported that the problem can be resolved by temporarily renaming the Chrome executable to something else. (There\u2019s nothing wrong with using the Google Chrome browser, of course.)<\/p>\n<p>Google also published the following workaround:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to\u00a0https:\/\/familysafety.microsoft.com\u00a0or open the Family Safety mobile app.<\/li>\n<li>Select the child.<\/li>\n<li>To allow other browsers, Disable \u201cFilter inappropriate websites\u201d under the Edge tab, or Go to Windows tab \u2192 Apps &amp; Games \u2192 unblock Chrome\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Microsoft\u2019s Family Safety allows a parent to manage screen time and apps used by their kids, and can either be accessed via the web or a dedicated app. Let\u2019s hope that it\u2019s just being a little aggressive, and Microsoft fixes it soon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If your PC won\u2019t open Google Chrome, there may be a culprit: Microsoft.
